it’s a gold star for a few reasons

it’s consistent in results
works across many skin types (dry, oily, normal, combo - all of em)
Incredibly affordable

and it serves two masters: it’s great for clarifying (clearing sebum aka pre-zits) but also, equally, for after sun or after harsh elements care - think you’ve been outside hiking, at the beach, or out all day running errands.

Currently I fall in the latter category (*years later mind you - I had terrible adult acne in my 20s and I would’ve loved these) and after a day in the sun or wind or city-living car fumes (or all three), this is the consistent mask I reach for.

Fation Real Fit Rice Bran Radiant Mask

This rich and hydrating serum delivers deeply nourishing radiance. Rice is usually associated with brightness and this mask brightens, but I find it hydrates even more effectively. I use this when my skin feels dull and dehydrated, does the trick instantly. Save the serum leftover to add slip to the next day's gua sha or microcurrent treatment, it's beautifully thick and rich.

Abib Jericho Rose Bifida Serum - Firming Drops

I enjoyed this serum! It's thick and viscous in texture and absorbs well. I experienced some firming benefits, many nourishing benefits. My skin barrier felt stronger after a month of using this product (thanks to the rose hydration and bifida fermentation). I'll use this as a second treatment after my hyalunic acid serum, or a first treatment followed with an ampoule.

Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream

A beautiful treatment moisturizer that effectively soothes irritated, inflamed skin (great for if you’ve gone overboard on the chem exfoliants). It’s also an excellent evening moisturizer for everyday use, as it’s nourishing and promotes a healthy skin barrier.

The texture of this calming cream is thick and absorbs well into the skin. Neutral to no scent, and that beautiful cornflower blue color comes from an extract of chamomile oil Guaiazulene (the cream’s hero ingredient). This ingredient delivers anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-fungal benefits, all which reduce redness and irritation. Love Dear, Klair's profile on the ingredient here.

Dear, Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E [Mask]

Wait! so the title says ‘Mask’ right? Girl tho - it’s a moisturizer. Ok it’s both - so it’s amazing? Yes.

I personally use this as a daily moisturizer and I have repurchased it dozens of times (I’m serious - one’s on the way right now). It’s a solid, incredible choice for daily use and I can’t recommend this enough.

Let’s start with the texture because it’s the first thing you’ll notice - it’s jello. it’s literally the texture of jello - put that spatula in the pot and scoop out a perfect little slice of jello. So satisfying! I like to then place it in the palm of my finger pads and press the product to ‘melt’ before pressing it into my skin.

The product will apply a bit .. I don’t want to say oily, I don’t want to say greasy, but it’ll give you a sheen to start. Within 3-5 minutes however that sheen is gone, and you’re left with a beautiful finish, incredibly hydrated and protected skin, and the perfect base for your SPF and makeup applications.

Second: the price - for under $30 you get 90ML! Whattt! standard moisturizers come in 30ML-60ML - not this baby. You really get your money’s worth on this one.

If you’re interested in using this as a mask in the evening: apply your standard moisturizer with this on top. As a mask it’s brilliant, Vitamin E & Vitamin C work wonders together and you’ll wake up with literally the most beautiful skin.

So definitely try this in the evening! Great to use morning and night, no need to dedicate this pot to one time of day, she’ll take care of you round the clock.

Dear, Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream

As the name implies, this cream is rich in texture and smooths like butter into the skin. While rich, within a few minutes this product seals in the products of your routine and absorbs beautifully into the skin. I love this product on its own, I also love using it on top of my Dear Klair’s Vitamin E mask as a sort of spot treatment. After the Vitamin E mask I will apply the rich cream to areas of my face I would like extra treatment, including my forehead, around fine lines, and my jawline.

ma:nya - Pure Cleansing Oil

Honestly - it does the job. and it does it well! As a first step oil cleanser t’s super oily and slippery, lasts ages (200ml), nearly unscented (the faintest, I wouldn’t even call it a scent and more of the essence of a scent) and it milks up/emulsifies nicely when water is applied before your full rinse. And you can’t beat that price point.

JUNOCO Jade Clean 10 Cleansing Balm

I purchased this because I was intrigued by the reusable design of the jar with separately sold refills. The product itself was nice and would suit many people's preferences for herbal scent and thick balmy texture, but it wasn't for me personally. I prefer a neutral to untraceable scent in my products and the scent is really quite apparent (it won't crawl into your nose all day but it's hard to ignore while using). I also prefer balms that are smoother in texture, while this one has you melt knobs of balm in your hand before applying, I enjoy a balm that's already pretty smooth out of the jar.

Definitely worth trying if you're curious and looking for a solid cleansing balm!

I love this toner all year round but I especially love it during the winter months. 3-4 skins/layers of this beautiful will leave your skin plump and moisturized all day long.

The texture feels watery but leaves your skin bouncy. And like all good rice skincare products, you'll see bright, radiant skin with each use.
